welcome to the tales of our crazy life
I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.
Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.
Four Whole Days
Whoever said practice makes perfect obviously hadn't spoken with my child.
This year for Valentine's Day we opted for a fun family night of roller skating. Yep, the Morrows are kickin' it old school. Insert your choice of classic roller rink sountrack staples here. (Pump Up the Volume, Supersonic...). Chances are you grew up in the 80s and while its likely been a decade or two since you set foot in a roller rink these are songs you JUST DON'T FORGET.
Now, I'm certainly not a singer, but I am willing to refresh your memory. You're listening, right? Weeeelllllll...
The S is for super
The U is for unique
The P is for perfection
And you KNOW that we are freaks.
Uh, did I say freaks?
POINT! I meant POINT! This story does have a point.
So, anyhow. Last weekend we took The Ruler to her third of five roller skating classes. She's out there skating her sweet little heart out when a friend of ours skates up beside her and strikes up a conversation.
AMANDA: Wow, Rilee! You're really good at roller skating.
RILEE: Thanks. I know.
AMANDA: How long have you been doing it?
RILEE: Uhhhh, four days.
FOUR WHOLE DAYS??? I guess when your six, four days feels like a lifetime. Anyone know if roller skating is an Olympic sport? At this rate she'll be ready by 2010. Who wants to sponsor her?
