welcome to the tales of our crazy life

I'm Heather. I'm over-caffeinated, under appreciated and constantly amused by these two crazy peeps we call our daughters.

I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.

Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.

Somebody Tied Her Shoe!

We practiced and practiced today and SHE GOT IT!

The Toothless Wonder

Roo just lost her third tooth - the top left one. It was loose for what seemed like forever. We went to bed every night for weeks just swearing we'd wake up to a toothless kid in the morning, but it never happened. I finally grew impatient (and a little worried that she may swallow it) as I watched her use her tongue to turn the tooth almost 180 degrees. It actually grossed me out a bit. And just when I was about to call in the tooth exorcist, it finally popped out.

Was she concerned about there being blood? Nope.

Was she concerned about the tooth fairy? Nope.

Just you know who.

Olympic Hopefuls

In an effort to beat the heat we hit the pool today and the girls gave Chris a fabulous Father's Day gift. We were totally shocked when both of the girls agreed to try the diving board for the first time, but once they had a taste of the fun there was no holding them back. They flipping LOVED it!

And Roo even went for the high dive. Check out her sweet warm up stretches. Can you say Olympic hopeful?

She Reads!

Roo read an entire book today (with very little help)! We're so proud!

Word To Yo Mutha!

Yeah, boyeeeeeeee. Check out my homies in their latest rap video (monkey pajamas and all).

Don't ask. We're weird and you know it.

Messages for Daddy

Chris is away for a ten day training class and I know he's missing his babies so we recorded a couple of messages for him while he was gone.

Lu Displays Her Mad Dance Skills

I think she learned them from Jake Bull.

Urban Cowgirls

Oh, and one urban cowfreak. This is just wrong. On SO many levels.

Valuable Thanksgiving Lessons

This is what spending Thanksgiving at the fire station will teach your children.

Thanks, Alex. Thanks a lot.
