welcome to the tales of our crazy life

I'm Heather. I'm over-caffeinated, under appreciated and constantly amused by these two crazy peeps we call our daughters.

I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.

Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.

The Concept of Time

We're constantly in awe of the firm grasp Lucee has on that funny little concept called time.

If it happened it was either uhsecon-go (a second ago) or lassniiiiiight (last night) when in reality it was yesterday or even two months ago.

And whether she wants to do something for a very short period of time or for a very long period of time it's always fo-fighminutes (for five minutes).

And if something happens more than once it's known as ahlduh-time (all the time).

But there's one more concept we're working on. Sitting at dinner tonight she said, "Eggo does dat ahlduh-time." I said, "Oh, really, Lucee?" She said, "Yeah, she did dat toomowoh." (tomorrow).

Eventually she'll get it. I know she will, but right now we're living vicariously through her. I love that she never worries about time. Things happen when they happen. And don't when they don't. I'm trying not to rush away that little bit of innocence that will one day stress her out. TIME. There's never enough of it and my children have taught me to make the best of it - however much you've got.
