welcome to the tales of our crazy life
I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.
Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.
New Recruits
The girls didn't have school today so we rounded up some preschool friends and spent the day in Lawrence. We had lunch and then visited Chris at the fire station. Their class took a field trip to the Lenexa fire station a few months ago, but I don't think the kids had nearly as much fun as they did today. They were climbing, running, squealing, screaming, giggling, pretending to drive, pretending to be patients and firefighters and paramedics. It was AWESOME!
From left to right is Alex, Roo, Kendall, Miles and Lu.
We were there for almost three hours and miraculously they didn't have a single call during that time. Of course, less than two minutes after we left I got a text from Chris saying they were heading out on a call. Great timing, huh?
