One day last week Chris was out with the girls and when one of them noticed a school bus that was shorter than most they pointed it out to Daddy. "Daddy, that's a short school bus." To which Daddy replied, "Yep. That's the one Mommy rode." (Ahem, JERK.) Oh, excuse me. Did I blog that outloud? My only saving grace is that they have no clue about the meaning of that joke.

Fast forward to today. The girls and I were driving down the highway, Roo was on the phone with Daddy telling him all about her day at school when The Lu spotted a school bus and said, "Mom, that's a big school bus. Daddy said you rode on the short school bus." So I set the record straight, Roo handed Lu the phone and this was the conversation that took place.

LU: Dad, you're a nerd. Mom said she didn't live on da short school bus. She lived da the long school bus. You're a dork, Dad.

ROO: Mom, you gotta put that on the blog.

It's almost not any fun when they know I'm ratting them out. Bossy, little blog punks. But how cute is it that I apparently lived on a school bus - not rode on a school bus!
