welcome to the tales of our crazy life
I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.
Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.
Tears of Joy
The other day I had gotten onto Lucee (for what I don't remember, but she's got a rotten streak in her so who knows what it might have been). She was sitting on the sofa crying when Rilee walks into the room and says, "Lu, are those tears of joy?" All I could do was crack up because anybody who knows or has ever even met Grandma Gayle knows that she's a very emotional person and I knew exactly where they had heard the expression "tears of joy".
PART II
Fast forward to last night. We're at Grandma Gayle's for dinner with Aunt Dilly and Bill. I told the "tears of joy" story and Rilee, while rolling her eyes and making one of her very grown up faces that I so wish I had a picture of says of Lu's tears, "...and those suckers were coming down LIKE RAIN."
Oh, those tears of joy coming down like rain. (Where the heck does she come up with this stuff?)
