welcome to the tales of our crazy life
I started this blog in April 2006 because I don't want to forget a single second of this awesome life. Why a blog? Because I'm a slacker. That's why.
Baby books? I'd actually have to find a pen. Have you SEEN my house? (Shhhhhhht...NOT a question). Scrapbooking? Puh-lease. When you can add six more hours in the day MAYBE we'll talk about it. I do like to sleep. Occasionally.
First Haircuts
After 3 1/2 years, we finally did it. We decided to get Roo's first haircut! We talked about Miss Jami all week and how she would make her look like a princess. Roo was super excited...until we got there. I went first to show her how it worked. When it was her turn she wanted NOTHING to do with getting in Jami's chair. So we said, we'll just have to let Lu take her turn next. Without the slightest bit of hesitation Lu climbed up in Jami's chair all by herself and sat perfectly still while she had her hair wet down, trimmed, blow dried and beautified! Jami said she'd never seen a two year old do so well. She added that in fact, she'd had some 4 and 5 year olds who didn't do as well as Lu. We were so proud. That girl has no fear!
Roo still wasn't ready for her turn so Jami, being the smart mom she is, resorted to bribery. Ahhh, the power of a lollipop. That got Roo over to the shampoo bowl and the rest was piece of cake. She enjoyed her first haircut and Jami even curled it for her. Once we were done we took them out to dinner to show off their new hairstyles. Afterall, what girl doesn't like to go out after she gets her hair done?
